The brainchild of the Late Udaychand Singhi, Bharat Mines and Minerals, was incorporated to supply Iron Ore to MMTC. In 1998, his son, Mr. Dinesh Kumar Singhi steered the company to unparalleled growth by being the first mining company, establishing a power generation plant for captive use, and creating a steel plant from the captive ore mine. His youthfulness and dynamism reflected in the company's significant consistent growth in a span of 7 years. With an aim to make about half a million tons of steel by 2009-10.
